During our tour of Idle Women of the Wartime Waterways, Kate Saffin and I have been invited to write a couple of guest blogs. Here’s a link to one I wrote for Frost Magazine which is introduced by Milly Adams. It’s all about the route the women took from Birmingham to the Coventry coalfields, a route I remember from my childhood.
To see work created by refugees and asylum seekers at recent workshops I did with Geoff Broadway, visit Geoff’s blog.
I’m pleased to see my poem, Birthstone, on Swift Exit today (see link below). The poem will also be included in their forthcoming anthology.
Today I received a copy of a book about Birmingham which includes my poem, Birmingham Is. Two lovely poetry presents in one day!
